CSMNT61. A group of many names, faces and talents. After seeking protection in the Indie Band Protection Program when one too many stalker girls found their home addresses (the result of years spent as, respectively, the guitarist, bassist and vocalist of former NME darlings and sharply dressed angst-funk titans Lost Valentinos), we’ve managed to coax them out of their year-long recording hiatus in order to collaborate with our golden boy, Jensen Interceptor.

This EP is all about stripped back, raw, powerful vibes. It’s not a lush deep house slab. It’s not a meandering epic with guitars and a choir. It’s got acid, it’s got analogue snarl and it’s got bass. Lots of it. We even put forward the theory that there’s some serious west-coast hip-hop influence in there, somewhere.

Definitely one for those who enjoy their noirish EBM techno.
